Winter Wellness Expo explores health and fitness for New Year's resolutions

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) ----- The wintry weather didn't stop some from heading to Rockford City Market for the first Winter Wellness Expo on Saturday.
More than 20 vendors, including representatives from all three regional health systems, and the YMCA of Rock River Valley, among others, shared tips and tools about the latest in wellness, nutrition, and fitness programs.
With the New Year glow still upon us, those with the Expo say the event empowers people to stay committed to their goals, even as the months roll on.
"95 percent of the people have abandoned their New Year's resolution by January 15th. So, people could find a niche here as to what will fit well here with them and still see and do things to improve their health," said Jody Perrecone, Certified Nutrition Consultant.
