Bath & Body Fusion Opens at Rockford's Stewart Square

A familiar City Market business has moved into a permanent storefront at downtown Rockford’s Stewart Square, 308 W. State St.
Bath and Body Fusion opened last week in Suite 130, across from Roly Poly restaurant near the Main Street entrance. Jen Lancaster owns the business, which sells handmade bath and body products like soaps, body and face scrubs, and bath bombs.
Lancaster launched her business two years ago at City Market and ran a pop-up store last Christmas at Stewart Square. She’s excited to have a space she now can call home.
“I have a lot of existing customers who followed me downtown, but business from new customers has already been really good,” Lancaster said. “I get a lot of people stopping by who are coming in for lunch, and they shop while they’re waiting for their food.”
Lancaster said she wanted to open her store downtown because of her experience at City Market, in which she plans to participate again this year. Her new space, which used to be an art gallery, has room for her to make products and additional space for wrapping items and making gift baskets.
Bath and Body Fusion’s products can be customized, and Lancaster makes it a priority to keep the products affordable. Prices range from about $3.50 to $12.95.
She also plans to host parties at the store for children and adults at which they can try the products and make some of their own.
The new store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. It’s closed on Sundays and Mondays.
